Blackberry Curve 8310…can’t recieve text…help please?

I was given a blackberry curve8310 and it worked fine for a few days but for soem reason I cant recieve text messages. I can send, I can call, I can recieve calls, but no text. I’ve read thru the manual and havent found anything. Any suggestions?

Try removing the battery for 2 minutes!!!
